Brest, France, March 27th 2012: STAF chose Vehco’s fleet management solution (formely ELOmobile) to equip their heavyweight vehicles (450 trucks and 450 semitrailers equipped with refrigerating units from Carrier Transicold). The selected solution allows the integration of the data in the customer’s TMS from the onboard computer (for social management of the drivers, management of the vehicles, and management of the orders of transport) and the complete traceability of the cold chain.
STAF, under the direction of Mr. Kara Mendjel, is a step ahead in the development of technologies used to improve the quality of services of goods transport and to decrease their environmental impact. After a technological proof of concept, the agreement should evolve on a partnership of development aiming at integrating the data of the cold equipment Carrier Transicold in the onboard computing of Vehco. Import of the cold equipment data and import of the trailers sensor’s data in real time, as well as the integration with the TMS: all the indicators will be at the disposal of the carrier.
Vehco equips today key actors of cold transport (Montmur group of Patrick Lahaye, Salesky, Plein Sud, Systèmes U…) and for Frederic Serre, Chief Executive Officer of Vehco France “our partnership with STAF will allow us to go even further and to acquire thanks to the interfacing with Carrier Transicold complementary competences, very useful for all our customers of the cold segment, such as for example the members of the French UNTF.
